Male Involvement Program

About the Program

As part of the local My Brother's Keeper initiative, students receive mentoring from men of color to help provide a safe and supportive community for boys of color, where they feel valued and have clear pathways to opportunity. 

A youth violence prevention program aimed at elementary and middle school males of color who attend Lister, First Creek, Gray, and Stewart. Students enrolled in MIP receive mentoring from adult males of color and participate in culturally-anchored activities and structured group discussions on leadership, communication, alternate options for reducing conflict, managing anger, and avoiding violence.
